Based on the social change, which has probably been clearly noticeable for all of us in the past two years, the Pantone Color of the Year program has created a completely new color with Very Peri for the first time in its history and this has become the Pantone Color 2022 chosen.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute writes:
"Offering all the qualities of blue tones plus a reddish-purple nuance, Very Peri shows us a vibrant, joyful view of the world and dynamic presence that inspires bold creativity and imaginative expression."
The complexity of this reddish-purple shade of blue is intended to underscore "the vast possibilities that lie ahead" and emphasize a "vibrant, joyful view of the world and dynamic presence". According to Pantone, Very Peri "encourages personal inventiveness and creativity" and helps us "to embrace this changing landscape of opportunity".
